In 2013, Jay Wicks was the featured speaker at the Rural Water Association of Arizona (RWAA) conference in Chandler, Arizona.  He has been teaching classes at their conferences since 2011 on electrical safety, lightning safety, basic electrical principles, grounding, and motors. He has been invited back every year by request of the attendees.  In 2014, Jay published his second article in NETA World Magazine which is titled "Are We Over Automated?" This article discusses the philosophy of using a balanced approach for maintenance, automation, and training to provide reliable and safe system operation.

Jay incorporates actual real world case studies, videos, hands-on equipment demonstrations, and humor to educate the classroom attendees.  He facilitates these classes in a unique way that explains complex subjects in a down-to-earth yet technical manner.
